I also keep tabs on the local political scene as it has a direct effect on my property tax bill, per capita the highest in Ontario.
And I see Hamilton Council is about to approve yet another huge tax increase without bothering to do any serious cost cutting.
I offered to help them out in this matter but nobody seemed interested in actually cutting taxes.
From what I can see there is lots of blue sky dreaming respecting public transportation despite Hamilton being a car-centric city.
Like going back to the future when we had an electric trolly system downtown.
One would think they might want to start putting the taxpayers at the head of the line for a change instead of all those special interest groups who profess to know whats good for the rest of us.
